THE GOLDEN DIE

Poets all over the world were encouraged to submit poems they wrote using a roll of Metaphor Dice. The finalists will all be published in an anthology called “Poetry by Chance” (Button Poetry 2023), and the winners of the adult contest and the student contest will each receive a prize worth $1,000.

The winner of the Adult Contest is Sandra Vaisnoras, who will win $1,000 for her poem “Ukraine.”  The Student Contest winner is 10-year-old Keiana Wolfe, who will win $500 and 25 sets of Metaphor Dice to give to all the teachers, caregivers, and friends who inspired them to write and submit. There were many excellent poems submitted, but The Jeditors felt these two were the best.
